The Pineapple Tree
Wait no longer, their debut album Pineapple Tree is now out and available to stream on all platforms!
Waiting Room describe themselves as a four piece analog synth obsessed group of lads getting old before their time. We describe them as embracing the power of the 80's done properly, flaunting fractured riffs’ and infectious melodies. Hailing from the Wirral, they have a catalogue of song about relationships, the soul and karma.
Their sound is characterized by a blend of electronic echos with pop sensibility, evolved into more.
Here are the key characteristics of their music:
Classic use of Synthesizers and Electronic Instruments: they embrace synthesizers, drum machines (like the Linn LM-1), and sequencers (such as the Roland MC-8 Microcomposer) to create their sound. This is a deliberate choice that sets them apart. They explore the capabilities of various synths like the Korg 700S, Roland System 100/700, Jupiter series (Jupiter 4 and 8), and the classic Yamaha DX7.
Catchy Melodies and Pop Hooks: While sometime funk led, their music is generally pop-oriented, especially with the release of their single "light my flame". They are masters of crafting memorable and infectious melodies that resonat with a broad audience.
Futuristic and Sci-Fi Themes: Their lyrical content often touches upon themes of futurism, technology, and science fiction.
