Scenes we share
Tightrope Tragedy have released their debut album Scenes We Share, now out and available to stream on all platforms!
Tightrope Tragedy describe themselves as a four piece from Birkenhead with guitars and too few pedals. We describe them as high energy social commentators, banging out riffs’ next to urban poems. Hailing from the Wirral, they have a catalogue of power poems about chilling tales of Liverpool derby games and run down docksides. They are set to become cult heroes of 2025.
How we describe their music:
Empathy and Human Connection: A core thread running through their work is empathy. They aim to make listeners feel less alone, whether in their political struggles or personal heartaches. Their songs often explore the human cost of political decisions and the importance of compassion.
Direct and Accessible Language: They eschews overly abstract or flowery language. Their lyrics are typically straightforward and colloquial, making them immediately understandable and relatable to a wide audience. This contributes to their power and impact.
Personal and Observational: Many of their songs are deeply personal, drawing from his own experiences and observations of the world around them, everyday life, relationships, and the struggles of ordinary people.
Witty and Poetic Touches: While direct, their lyrics are far from simplistic, they employs clever wordplay, sharp humour, and occasional poetic flourishes that elevate song writing beyond mere sloganeering. They can be both cutting and tender, often within the same song.
